Tightening tapes are intended for group tigtnening of products, fixation of goods on pallets and for strengthening of individual items packing. At present polypropylene tapes replace steel tapes due to lower cost and similar strength. Tightening tapes are applied both manually by special devices or using automatic tightening machines. Tape ends may be connected by clamps or buckles, or by thermal welding in case of machine tightening.
